Job summary

Hive Group, a HUBZone-certified SDVOSB, seeks a Financial Analyst to support GSA programs in the Washington, DC area. Hybrid role with onsite at least one day weekly in McLean, VA.

The analyst will monitor project cost and schedules, track funding, and support invoicing accuracy, delivering analyses to project managers and stakeholders. Strong Excel and communication skills are required; 0-2 years of experience; public trust clearance eligibility is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or similar quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of financial management experience.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance (criminal and credit checks).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to leverage Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
• Strong time management and prioritization under deadlines.
• Prior experience in financial analysis is a plus.
• Experience with federal government contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the GSA client’s Project Managers, Contracting Officers, and Contract Specialists.
• Present financial statuses and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify root causes of complex contract financial situations and model solutions.
• Identify and resolve funding shortfalls and surpluses to maximize client purchasing power.
• Analyze historical data to estimate burn rates and funding runout dates.
• Create and maintain account structures for federal contracts with multiple stakeholders.
• Reconcile contract finances and validate financial tracking.
