Job summary

SJS Executives is seeking experienced Electricians for a contract in Montgomery or Tuskegee, Alabama, supporting maintenance at two federal medical facilities. Primary location will be assigned, with potential support at the secondary site.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial/industrial electrical work, ability to read blueprints, meet safety standards, and pass background checks for access to a military installation. Pay is competitive and benefits include paid holidays and sick leave.

Qualifications

• Real ID is required under federal regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience in commercial/industrial/healthcare settings.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution systems, wiring, panels, circuits, and equipment.
• Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase systems and power distribution.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear OSHA-approved respirator when required and pass fit testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and modify electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and equipment in federal facilities.
• Install secondary power distribution systems, panels, conduits, cable trays, and branch circuits.
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial multiphase electrical systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire and intrusion alarm, emergency warning, and related systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, equipment failures, and hard-to-locate problems.
• Determine proper placement of distribution panels, junction boxes, fittings, and connections.
• Perform electrical testing with diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters, etc.).
• Calculate electrical values to support installations and repairs.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specs.
• Maintain a safe work environment per federal safety regulations.
