Job summary

The Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. Architect will provide professional architectural oversight for federal construction and facility projects, including review of designs, code compliance, and quality control.

Collaboration with government personnel, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders is essential to integrate architectural requirements into project design and execution. Minimum five years as an Architect with RA license and US citizenship; USACE or federal project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.
• RA license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Architect.
• US Army Corps of Engineers or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects through planning, design, construction documentation and construction phases preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction submittals and RFIs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations and QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oversight of the architectural aspects of the facilities.
• Ensure adherence to approved design standards, codes, and regulations.
• Regularly review and assess project progress against architectural milestones.
• Conduct thorough reviews of architectural designs to meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback on design elements, spatial planning, and overall aesthetics.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures for architectural components.
• Collaborate with the project team, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate coordination meetings to address architectural issues and ensure integration with other disciplines.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design changes, approvals, and deviations from plans.
• Identify and address architectural challenges promptly, proposing viable solutions for project continuity.
