Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an Architect for Fort Hood, TX to oversee federal projects, review designs, ensure code compliance, and maintain QA throughout construction.

The role requires RA status, 5+ years of experience, and experience with USACE or similar programs, with collaboration across engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. The position emphasizes adherence to design standards, coordination across disciplines, and maintaining comprehensive design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• Registered Architect license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Architect.
• USACE or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects through planning, design, construction documentation, and construction phases preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction submittals and responding to RFIs preferred.
• Experience with RMS 3.0 and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, quality control procedures, and architectural design standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oversight of the architectural aspects of the facilities.
• Ensure adherence to approved design standards, codes, and regulations.
• Regularly review and assess project progress against architectural milestones.
• Conduct reviews of architectural designs to meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Provide feedback on design elements, spatial planning, and aesthetics.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures for architectural components.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings to address architectural issues and ensure integration with other disciplines.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design changes, approvals, and deviations.
• Identify and address architectural challenges and propose viable solutions.
