Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an ESS Project Manager for the federal team based in Huntsville, AL, supporting Minot AFB in North Dakota. You will manage a portfolio of electronic and integrated security system projects (access controls, intrusion detection, video management) at U.S.

military and federal sites. This role emphasizes leading project execution, schedule development, subcontract management, safety compliance, and timely billing within contract terms, while coordinating with customers

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of direct project management experience in the building construction or facilities maintenance industry.
• Technical competency and experience working with commercial or industrial Electronic Security Systems (EES) including evaluation of contractual scope, specification interruption, change order management, basic design, and installation standards.
• Experience managing project financials (P&L management).
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary leader for execution on assigned projects and develop project schedules.
• Manage selection and procurement of project materials, vendors, and subcontractors; negotiate subcontracts.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, billed within budget, and within contract scope.
• Adhere to safety standards and internal policies; communicate progress to leadership.
• Pursue growth opportunities to achieve customer outcomes and ensure quality deliverables.
