Job summary

The Sheakley Workforce Staffing team seeks a hands-on Superintendent / SSHO to lead daily field operations on a long-term federal electrical infrastructure project in Philadelphia, PA. This dual-hat role combines project leadership with EM 385-1-1 safety oversight to safeguard crews and drive schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Current EM 385-1-1 Certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience on large federal electrical projects
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, schedules, field operations
• Direct experience with USACE/NAVFAC/DoD/AF or federal projects
• Hands-on RMS experience
• Understanding of NFPA 70 requirements
• Experience with electrical, substation, switchgear, or power distribution projects
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass military base access and project badges
• U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dual-hat Project Superintendent and SSHO
• Manage daily field operations, schedules, subcontractors, and construction activities
• Coordinate work with project leadership, subcontractors, and government representatives
• Provide full site safety oversight in accordance with EM 385-1-1 requirements
• Coordinate design-build construction activities
• Oversee electrical service modifications and replacements
• Manage electrical shutdowns and work sequencing activities
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, NFPA 70, UFC criteria, and installation procedures
• Support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and compliance records
• Support security, access, and escort requirements
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
