Qualifications

  • Knowledge of issues related to equal employment opportunity in the federal government.
  • Knowledge of investigative report writing standards and documentation.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of formal complaint resolution.
  • Ability to plan investigations, including scope, interviewees, and relevant documents.
  • Ability to conduct formal investigations with courtesy, tact, and discretion.
  • Ability to integrate and analyze information to substantiate issues.
  • Ability to prepare written analytical reports for independent review.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts thorough analysis of formal EEO complaints, reviewing files for completeness and timeliness.
  • Interviews witnesses, collects affidavits and documentation, and organizes evidence for the file.
  • Analyzes evidence to identify trends and causal relationships in discrimination complaints.
  • Refer cases to management for non-compliance referrals or dismissals under EEOC procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all cases and protect sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with human resources to share policy and procedural updates.
  • Provide program oversight, guidance, and EEO training to employees.
