Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Design Project Manager for the Government and Civic market sector, focusing on coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and delivering high-quality, compliant, and cost-controlled projects for Federal clients in the North America region.

The role sits in the Design Management Department of the North America Places group and requires experience with USACE, NAVFAC, and AFCEC. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the federal market sector required.
• 5+ years leading large multi-discipline design-engineered solutions and construction projects.
• Strong financial background related to projects and client management.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Experience reviewing drawings and multi-discipline designs on digital platforms.
• Experience with ACC or BIM engineered solutions.
• CPM certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality, compliant projects.
• Implement QA/QC processes throughout design development.
• Maintain fiduciary responsibility for budgets and cost forecasting.
• Act as primary client interface; lead reviews and ensure federal requirements are met.
• Develop and manage detailed execution plans, schedules, and workflows.
• Drive on-time delivery and manage change, risk, and scope within project controls.
• Coordinate across architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Prepare clear written reports and presentations focused on federal standards and funding.
• Support pursuit strategies, fee proposals, and business development for federal projects.
• Provide leadership as a seller-doer in project delivery and BD activities.
• Travel up to 20% with potential overnight stays.
