Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on multiple projects, including federal facilities. You will guide design teams through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases and serve as the Engineer of Record for HVAC and related systems.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in consulting engineering, strong communication, and PE licensure. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, PMs, and clients, traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.
• Professional Engineer licensure in the United States; multiple state licenses preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external teams to generate project opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages with inter-discipline coordination.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, building codes, UFC, and UFGS for federal facilities.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project plans and staffing; pursue client opportunities.
• Design and modeling using Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and Trane Trace.
• Travel to project sites for site surveys and data collection for power and electrical system audits.
