Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen and ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical liaison between federal government client design branch, construction branch, and contractors.
• Review design submittals, shop drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical reports for compliance with standards.
• Apply engineering principles across planning, investigation, design review, construction administration, and assessment of procedures and systems.
• Monitors progress and prepares technical and status reports.
• Provide engineering judgment for field modifications and constructability reviews.
• Complies with guidelines, regulations including permitting, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Assist in cost estimates and supporting analysis with government estimators.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress reviews, and project closeout/punchlist activities.
• Conduct QA reviews to ensure contract compliance.
• Develop and mentor junior engineering staff and guide technical direction.
• Build and maintain client relationships through responsive communication with government teams.
