B&A in Northern Virginia seeks a Database Administrator to support a federal government client. This on-site role emphasizes database design, security, and performance across Linux and Windows environments.

The candidate will design schemas, ensure backups, and work with stakeholders to meet service levels. Requires TS/SCI with FS Poly; salary ranges from $100,000–$200,000 and is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in programming and development, cloud and infrastructure, architecture and design, or other related disciplines.
• Active TS/SCI with an FS Poly adjudicated within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develop database schemas and objects by interpreting data models and implementing/troubleshooting database code and changes.
• Supports operation of complex relational databases across Linux and Windows environments.
• Applies database security requirements and contributes to documented backup and recovery procedures.
• Analyzes complex data and performance issues to deliver effective solutions.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to meet service quality standards and customer needs.
