Job summary

B&A is seeking an Application Developer/Programmer to support a federal government client in Northern Virginia. This full-time, on-site role offers a salary range of $120,000–$250,000 annually and requires active TS/SCI with FS Poly.

The candidate will develop, test, and maintain web/database applications and translate requirements into end-to-end designs. Responsibilities include programming in Java/J2EE, JSP, HTML, XML, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JavaScript, Tomcat, and Git, plus collaboration

Qualifications

• Entry Level: 0-2 years of specialized experience
• Journeyman: 2-4 years of specialized experience
• Full Performance: 4-6 years of specialized experience
• Senior Level: 6-8 years of specialized experience
• Subject Matter Expert (SME): 8-12 years of specialized experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Relevant certifications in programming and development, cloud and infrastructure, architecture and design

Responsibilities

• Develops, tests, implements, and maintains web and database applications across the full software development life cycle.
• Translates user requirements into end-to-end application/database designs with multiple interfaces.
• Programs in project-relevant languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML, XML, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JavaScript, Apache Tomcat, Git).
• Troubleshoots and resolves defects; documents requirements, procedures, and reports; communicates technical protocols and processes to technical and non-technical stakeholders; plans work, sets goals, and monitors progress to delivery.
