Job summary

Evolver Federal seeks a Lead Project/Program Manager to lead a federal MSSP/MDR SOC program, overseeing security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management aligned with NIST, FISMA, and OMB guidance.

You will drive strategic planning, performance metrics, and continuous improvement while serving as the primary liaison with government stakeholders and contract leadership. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical IT security experience; 6+ years in senior IT security leadership.
• PMI PMP certification and ITIL 4 Foundation required.
• US citizen with ability to pass a comprehensive government background check.
• Experience with RMF, NIST, TIC 3.0 compliance and federal frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of SOC program management, including planning, execution, and performance oversight.
• Focus on vendor management, partner management, budget forecasting, and performance-based contracting metrics.
• Direct SOC operations to ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance activities aligned with federal standards (RMF, NIST, TIC 3.0).
• Manage program budgets, schedules, and resources to meet performance-based contract requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders and client leadership.
• Guide deployment and integration of SOC technologies such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and vulnerability scanners.
• Develop and maintain program documentation, including risk registers and compliance reports.
• Drive operational maturity through automation, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead incident response efforts during high-impact cybersecurity events and coordinate with federal stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration across technical teams, vendors, and government partners to achieve mission objectives.
