Job summary

GDIT in the United States (Los Angeles, CA) seeks an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to lead cybersecurity strategy across NASA programs. The CISO will oversee governance, risk management, and operations, ensuring compliance with NASA, NIST, and federal requirements while advancing secure service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of cyber leadership or program management experience.
• Extensive NASA experience and cybersecurity solutions tailored to NASA missions.
• Strong written and oral communication for executives and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships in high-visibility federal programs.
• Experience leading remote enterprise security teams and mentoring staff.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk, and architecture for NASA missions.
• Direct cybersecurity operations, engineering, and incident response to meet federal requirements.
• Develop metrics, monitor performance, and report on program security posture.
• Engage with NASA stakeholders to align security with mission needs.
• Mentor remote teams and drive program excellence across multiple workstreams.
