Planet Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Washington, DC team. The role focuses on enforcing federal cybersecurity standards, researching encryption and vulnerability management, and maintaining centralized logging and auditing documentation.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with federal requirements, threat analysis, and incident response. On-site work in Washington DC is required, with eligibility for the necessary clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience enforcing technical Cybersecurity compliance within federal standards
• Experience conducting analysis of encryption, vulnerability management and centralized logging/auditing
• Strong knowledge of federal standards and ability to provide technical summaries and leadership input

Responsabilités

• Research and enforce cybersecurity compliance across the organization's systems
• Collaborate with Security Assessment Teams to identify noncompliant systems and vulnerabilities
• Remediate shortcomings and communicate with stakeholders on findings and timelines
• Conduct in-depth technical analysis and maintain thorough records of actions, evidence and communications
• Coordinate audits and data calls related to Federal Government requirements
• Analyze logs to detect anomalous activity and potential data exfiltration
• Stay updated on current vulnerabilities and exploitation methods
• Interpret and disseminate federal security guidance to non-technical audiences
• Ensure adherence to current Federal Government security policies and required documentation
• Respond to incidents to assist in detection, containment, and remediation
• Participate in After Action Reviews (AARs) of incident responses
• Assist with vulnerability management notifications from internal sources and vendors
• Produce and interpret forensically sound images of data when required
