Sonatype is seeking a Federal Customer Success Manager to partner with U.S. government customers, driving adoption, renewal, and growth across a scaled engagement model. You will use health signals and product usage data to guide proactive success planning and ensure measurable value.

This role emphasizes proactive leadership, cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support, and responsible AI usage to enhance outcomes while navigating complex regulatory environments.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in Federal Customer Success or related roles supporting US government clients.
• Experience with civilian agencies, DoD, or Intelligence Community customers.
• Ability to navigate complex government stakeholder environments.
• Technical credibility across modern software development lifecycles (DevOps, CI/CD, OSS governance/security).

Responsibilities

• Lead structured customer motions to accelerate onboarding, adoption, and time-to-value.
• Translate customer intent into measurable next steps and outcomes.
• Provide proactive guidance on best practices and pitfalls to improve success.
• Maintain health signals and drive risk mitigation in collaboration with internal teams.
• Bring product and domain credibility to guide best practices and avoid reactive support.
