Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Federal cost estimating.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a federal background check.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, discipline-specific cost estimates using standard tools (MCACES II, PACES, RSMeans, Success Estimator) per Federal standards.
• Analyze contractor cost proposals, bids, and change orders for FAR/CAS compliance.
• Interpret drawings and specs to develop estimates across design stages.
• Maintain cost models and pricing databases for improved estimating accuracy.
• Collaborate with PMs, COS, engineers, and COs to align estimates with scope and requirements.
• Support value engineering by evaluating materials/methods for cost-schedule-performance balance.
• Prepare narratives and documentation for government review and audits.
• Evaluate risk/contingency based on project complexity and market conditions.
