Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Cloud Operator to support a mission-driven cloud environment, focusing on Windows and Linux administration and IT delivery across controlled interfaces.

You will enhance an Infrastructure‑as‑Code ecosystem, harden systems to federal security standards, and manage COTS/GOTS apps while delivering reliable, secure performance for a large user community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive systems administration experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Windows or Linux system administration.
• Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS preferred), including securing, managing, troubleshooting, and delivering cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment using configuration management, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field OR 4 years of equivalent professional or military experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Apply configuration management principles and engineering lifecycle best practices to maintain secure and resilient systems.
• Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and document system configurations across Windows Server 2016/2019 and RHEL 7/8 environments.
• Harden operating systems and services to meet federal security and compliance standards.
• Manage and maintain COTS and GOTS applications to ensure operational readiness.
• Sustain production enterprise systems such as firewalls, file servers, and security monitoring tools supporting a large user community.
• Provide responsive, customer‑focused technical support, both in writing and via phone, to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
