Job summary

Arc Aspicio is seeking a Systems and Solutions Architect (Federal) to lead cloud-based IT programs for homeland security and emergency management. The role requires 7–8 years of architecting systems and cloud solutions in complex environments, with U.S.

Citizenship and Public Trust eligibility. The position supports hybrid work across client sites, the DC office, and occasional remote work, with required DC-area residency.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of experience on complex IT projects in Agile environments.
• 4 years of cloud-based tech experience (e.g., AWS).
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and improve designs.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing a modernized software application.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Java, and web services.
• Experience with client engagement at senior levels in complex environments.
• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only with Public Trust eligibility.
• Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work remotely and in-person in the DC area; travel.
• Executive presence, entrepreneurial spirit, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Guide the Government chief architect on cloud solutions and large, complex IT delivery.
• Develop innovative solutions across technologies to meet future government needs.
• Assess program systems to plan for AI and smart tech integration.
• Develop AI solutions to advance government missions.
• Collaborate with development teams and clients on technical requirements for legacy modernization.
• Perform code reviews of legacy architectures and identify improvements.
• Provide QA oversight and ensure quality deliverables.
• Align business requirements with technical outcomes with SMEs.
• Support additional Engineering projects and initiatives.
• Deliver outstanding client service and drive mission results.
