Job summary

Qualifications

  • 7–8 years of experience on complex IT projects using Agile or similar lifecycle.
  • 4 years of experience supporting and testing cloud-based technology (AWS).
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and enhance quality of designs and emerging technology solutions
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing a modernized software application
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services native services, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Java, WSDL, DNS, SOAP, REST, XML, Customer Managed Keys (CMKs), and Transport Layer Security (TLS)

Responsibilities

  • Advise the government chief architect, apply expertise in cloud solutions and delivery of large, complex IT solutions
  • Develop innovative solutions across a range of technologies to meet future government business and technical needs
  • Assess current and future program systems and processes to determine areas that may benefit from machine intelligence and smart technology
  • Develop AI solutions to advance government mission initiatives
  • Work closely with a development team and clients to establish technical requirements and design for legacy application modernization
  • Perform code reviews of legacy application software architecture, document areas for improvement
  • Provide quality assurance and oversight
  • Consult with application and industry subject matter experts to align business and technical requirements
  • Assist on additional Engineering team projects and initiatives as requested
  • Collaborate with clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service, and achieving mission results
  • Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions
  • Act as a steward of the company, helping offer solutions to new clients and support new business, company strategic functions, and operational initiatives

Arc Aspicio is a leading consulting firm specializing in human capital, data analytics, management, and strategy professional services. The firm delivers solutions for federal government clients including homeland security and emergency management.

Solution Architect

Supports large Federal Government IT programs that design and deliver homeland security and emergency management systems and innovative solutions. Requires 7-8 years of architecting systems and/or cloud solutions in a complex technology environment and extensive experience working with senior government clients to design and oversee development throughout implementation to achieve mission results.

Arc Aspicio works in a hybrid environment with client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and occasional remote work. Candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at the time of employment.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience on complex IT projects using Agile or similar software engineering lifecycle and related tools, preferably in Federal government technology environments
  • 4 years of experience supporting and testing cloud-based technology (e.g., AWS)
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and enhance quality of designs and emerging technology solutions
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing a modernized software application
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services native services, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Java, WSDL, DNS, SOAP, REST, XML, Customer Managed Keys (CMKs), and Transport Layer Security (TLS)
  • Experience with client and stakeholder engagement (including senior-level leaders) and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Ability to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • U.S. Citizenship only; publicly holds a Public Trust level clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
  • Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools like SharePoint
  • Desire to join a consulting firm, learn business concepts, collaborate and participate in company events
  • Ability to work in the Washington, DC metro area and travel to different locations
  • Executive presence, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, excellent problem solving skills, and interest in working in a consulting firm

Salary range: $125,000 - $155,000.
