Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent education to demonstrate the ability to learn regulations, methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near the borders using surveillance and infrared scopes at night.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of assets to accomplish the USBP Mission.
