Job summary

Larson Design Group, Inc. is seeking an Architecture/Building Engineering Project Manager for Federal Programs. You will lead complex federal projects from planning through closeout with a Doer-Seller mindset, balancing technical coordination, risk, and quality to satisfy federal agencies.

The role requires a licensed Architect or Engineer with PMI/PMBOK knowledge and experience in federal procurement. You will mentor teams and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience in A/E industry.
• PE, RA, or PMP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive PM plans aligned with federal requirements.
• Coordinate architectural, engineering, and consultant teams for federal clients.
• Lead all project phases from initiation to closeout per PMI and federal standards.
• Define scope, cost, schedule, and risk using formal change control.
• Maintain detailed schedules, milestones, and agency submissions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Ensure staffing, resource allocation, and workload balance across projects.
• Manage contract administration with federal contracting officers and vendors.
• Establish QA/QC standards meeting federal regs and firm guidelines.
• Conduct quality audits and implement corrective actions.
• Drive proactive risk management and client satisfaction.
