Job summary

Larson Design Group, Inc. is seeking an Architecture/Building Engineering Project Manager – Federal Programs to lead complex federal projects from planning through closeout.

A licensed Architect or Engineer with PM experience and budgets over $1M is essential. You will apply PMI methods, liaise with federal clients and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of job-related experience in A/E.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or PMP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans aligned with federal requirements and PMI standards.
• Coordinate architectural, engineering, and consultant teams; serve as primary client contact.
• Lead all project phases from initiation to closeout per PMI and federal standards.
• Define and control project scope with formal change management processes.
• Maintain detailed schedules and ensure timely deliverables and agency submissions.
• Direct cost estimating, budgeting, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Support procurement activities, contract coordination, and negotiations.
• Ensure QA/QC in compliance with federal regulations and agency criteria.
• Mentor associate PMs and stay current with PMI and AEC trends.
