Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an Architect to provide professional architectural oversight for Fort Hood, Texas.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs, ensuring code compliance, monitoring construction, and maintaining quality from design through construction. You will collaborate with government personnel, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to integrate architectural requirements into project design and execution while meeting functional, aesthetic, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• RA license required.
• Minimum of five years of experience as an Architect.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects through planning, design, construction documentation and construction phases preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction submittals and RFIs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and architectural design standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee architectural aspects of facilities.
• Ensure adherence to design standards, codes and regulations.
• Review progress against architectural milestones.
• Review designs for functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Provide feedback on design elements and spatial planning.
• Enforce quality control for architectural components.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings to address architectural issues and integration with other disciplines.
• Maintain design change documentation and approvals.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture

Registered Architect (RA) license

Five+ years of experience as an Architect

Experience with RMS 3.0 and Microsoft Office
