Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an Architect to provide professional oversight for federal construction and facility projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

You will review designs, ensure code compliance, monitor construction activities, and coordinate with government personnel and contractors to integrate architectural requirements into project design. Required: Bachelor's in Architecture, Registered Architect license, and five years' experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required.
• Registered Architect (RA) license required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as an architect.
• US Army Corps of Engineers or federal project experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects through planning, design, and construction.
• Experience reviewing submittals and RFIs preferred.
• Experience with RMS 3.0 and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of architectural aspects of Fort Hood facilities.
• Ensure compliance with design codes and regulations.
• Review project progress against architectural milestones.
• Evaluate designs for functionality and aesthetics.
• Provide feedback on design elements and spatial planning.
• Enforce quality control across architectural components.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Document design changes, approvals, and deviations.
• Address architectural challenges with viable solutions.
