Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an Architect to oversee federal construction and facility projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The Architect will review designs, ensure codes compliance, monitor construction, and coordinate with government personnel, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, a Registered Architect license, and a minimum of five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• Registered Architect (RA) license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Architect.
• US Army Corps of Engineering (USACE) or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction submittals and RFIs preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural oversight of facilities.
• Ensure adherence to design standards, codes, and regulations.
• Review project progress against architectural milestones.
• Review designs for functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Provide feedback on design elements, spatial planning, and aesthetics.
• Implement quality control for architectural components.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings to address architectural issues and integration with other disciplines.
• Maintain documentation of design changes, approvals, and deviations.
• Address architectural challenges with viable solutions.
