Job summary

FUTREND Technology Inc. is seeking an Accounting Associate to support a Federal Government client. The role blends remote work with onsite presence in Bethesda, MD and offers a competitive salary with a 401K benefits package.

You will process fund obligations, run reports, assist with month-end close, and ensure accurate records while collaborating across teams to resolve grants and funding issues in a compliant manner.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting, finance, or operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• US Citizens or Perm. Residents; able to pass Public Trust background check.

Responsibilities

• Process obligations and de-obligations of funds as requested.
• Run and review daily/weekly reports and PO status reports.
• Monitor reports and resolve discrepancies or required actions.
• Respond to inquiries via Obligation Mailbox with timely resolutions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Collaborate with teams to research and resolve funding issues.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Back up Team Lead and assist with team operations as needed.
