FUTREND Technology Inc. is seeking an Accounting Associate to support a Federal Government client. The role blends remote work with onsite presence in Bethesda, MD and offers a competitive salary with a 401K benefits package.

You will process fund obligations, run reports, assist with month-end close, and ensure accurate records while collaborating across teams to resolve grants and funding issues in a compliant manner.

Formación

• 3+ years of accounting, finance, or operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• US Citizens or Perm. Residents; able to pass Public Trust background check.

Responsabilidades

• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Back up Team Lead and assist with team operations as needed.

About this position

Accounting Associate FUTREND Technology Inc has an opening for an Accounting Associate working as part of a dedicated Accounting team, supporting one of our customers in the Federal Government. This position will be a combination of remote work and at the client's onsite location in Bethesda, MD on occasion. Roles and Responsibilities

• Process obligations and de-obligations of funds as requested through PSC 59s.
• Run and review daily and weekly reports, including Unsync and Purchase Order (PO) Status reports.
• Monitor reports and identify discrepancies or items requiring additional action.
• Respond to customer inquiries received through the Obligation Mailbox and provide timely, accurate resolutions.
• Assist with PO month-end and year-end close activities.
• Review and resolve PMS errors related to grants, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Process obligations for employee relocations in the system.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for contract requests and provide guidance on related processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to research and resolve accounting and funding issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records and documentation.
• Assist with identifying process improvements and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
• Serve as a backup to the Team Lead, providing support and assisting with team operations as needed.
• Perform other accounting and financial support duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years Accounting/Business/Finance/Operations Experience
• Advanced Excel Skills – vlookup, pivot tables
• Ability to communicate clearly written and orally
• Bachelor's degree or higher from a four year college in Accounting,
• Must be able to pass a Public Trust background security investigation and obtain clearance to work on a Government Contract
• US Citizens or Permanent Residents only.
