Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer with a Florida PE license to serve as Project Manager for the Florida Transportation team in Tampa, FL.

The candidate will lead and deliver FDOT roadway design projects, collaborating with staff and clients to ensure quality and on-time results. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil/public works transportation project delivery, FDOT experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent
• A minimum of 10 years in civil/public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 6 years post-PE
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
• FDOT experience
• Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
• Proficient in design/review in MicroStation
• Ability to oversee roadway projects for FDOT/local municipalities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and strong written/verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Devise and supervise roadway design projects for FDOT under Transportation Team Lead
• Collaborate with design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver safe, growth-focused roadways
• Manage transportation projects or tasks aligning with business needs
• Assist in workload management of design staff including engineers and technicians
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Review transportation designs and plans for accuracy
• Report on project progress and collaborate with clients and consultants
• Support business development with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager
