Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of drainage engineering experience on transportation projects.
• Experience with FDOT standards, criteria, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency with FDOT Plans Preparation Manual, Drainage Manual and Design Standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare drainage and stormwater management designs for transportation projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using FDOT-approved methods.
• Design and prepare drainage plans, reports, permit applications and supporting calculations.
• Coordinate drainage with roadway, bridge, traffic, environmental, and utility disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project planning, scheduling and budgeting.
• Interface with FDOT District personnel and other regulatory agencies.
• Support drainage-related permitting efforts including ERP applications.
