Burgess Civil LLC is seeking a seasoned FDOT Pipe Superintendent with extensive underground utilities, storm drainage, and roadway construction experience. The role demands hands-on leadership to coordinate field operations, manage resources, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity on FDOT projects.

Responsibilities include supervising pipe crews, ensuring compliance with FDOT specs, and planning daily activities to meet deadlines, while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in heavy civil construction, FDOT pipe and drainage projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple pipe crews and field operations.
• Strong understanding of FDOT standards, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, coordination, and problem solving on complex sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for underground utilities and storm drainage on FDOT projects.
• Supervise and coordinate multiple pipe crews, foremen, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure all work complies with FDOT specifications and approved plans.
• Plan and schedule daily activities to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, grades, and elevations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, inspectors, engineers, and field personnel.
• Monitor crew productivity, equipment utilization, and project progress.
• Identify and resolve field challenges to minimize delays and maintain efficiency.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure quality workmanship and proper installation of drainage systems and utilities.
