Lutheran Social Services of New York is seeking a Family Worker to support family services and engagement under the Family Service Coordinator. You will recruit, determine eligibility, enroll families, and track attendance and health records to ensure census accuracy.

The role involves coordinating with FCC staff and communities to provide resources, orientation, and family assessments, with a focus on supporting families and maintaining compliance with regulations.

Formación

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Human Services or related field or Child Development Associate Credential.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), French or other language preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains a caseload of ~15 FCC providers.
• Assists families with eligibility determination and enrollment.
• Conducts recruitment activities to ensure program enrollment.
• Tracks children’s attendance and follows up with families on absences.
• Ensures health and screening records are accurate and current per DOE/DOHMH regulations.
• Collaborates with community agencies to identify resources for parents.
• Plans monthly new parent orientation and parent meetings.
• Partners with families to complete Family Strengths Assessments and referrals as needed.
