Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. in Addison, TX is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop leadership and operational skills on the path to Retail Store Management.

You will participate in hands-on assignments and structured learning opportunities, with progression to management in 8–12 weeks depending on performance. You will be responsible for leading a team, delivering exceptional customer service, and gaining operational expertise across store functions, including staffing, merchandising and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends and overtime.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Automotive retail knowledge or P&L familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing, engaged store team and live The Pledge.
• Deliver WOW! customer service and drive store performance.
• Manage and reconcile monthly P&L to optimize profitability.
• Support structured training processes and policy compliance.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring and staff development.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising and sales strategies.
• Lead customer service activities and resolve concerns proactively.
• Complete operations training to learn key store functions.
