Budget Rent a Car in Omaha, NE is seeking a Manager Trainee to fast-track into store leadership. You’ll skip the entry-level grind, earn a salary with bonus potential, and learn hands-on with operations, sales, and team motivation in a fast-paced rental environment.

From day one you’ll be treated as part of the management team, coaching others and driving real results while balancing customer service with team leadership and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence and problem solving.
• Leadership experience or training.
• Strong work ethic with fast learning.
• Willingness to work a 5-day schedule with weekend/open availability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to run the full show at rental locations—handling customers, operations, and everything in between.
• Take charge of key departments: Keep things running smoothly and ensure each area performs at its best.
• Manage fleet flow and inventory to match customer demand and reservations.
• Work the counter system: Open/close rentals, modify contracts, update manifests, and keep everything accurate.
• Sell add-ons to boost revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Handle opening/closing routines and security.
• Tackle office tasks: Phones, supplies, copies, quick customer questions.
• Prep reports and track daily activities to stay on top of performance.
• Resolve customer issues on the spot with clear explanations of charges and processes.
• Support the team across locations when needed and mentor teammates.
