Job summary

Floor & Decor in Seattle is seeking a Merchandise Handler for our Pick & Pack Department. You will pick orders from multi-level racks using a cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck, load and unload shipments, and stage orders for shipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong English communication, and a detail-focused, customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• One to three years of recent work experience.
• One to three years of experience operating an order picker/cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck.
• Excellent communications skills; read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick product from multi-level racks and stage shipments.
• Operate cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck safely.
• Stack and store merchandise in designated areas.
• Transport product to/from designated areas as directed.
• Prepare product for shipment and label pallets for shipping.
• Handle merchandise for picking and put away; consolidate pallets as needed.
• Operate equipment safely following procedures and safety requirements.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift daily.
• Maintain clean, orderly warehouse and loading areas.
• Participate in training to increase knowledge of warehouse processes.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to management.
