Shepherd Oil Company is seeking a reliable Cook to join our team, expanding the food services in our convenience stores. You will prepare meals according to recipes, maintain a sanitary kitchen, and work quickly in a high-energy environment while following health guidelines.

Responsibilities include measuring ingredients, maintaining logs, stocking, and ensuring strict food safety standards. Requires 18+ and a valid alcohol license; HS diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must obtain/maintain alcohol license.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighting and mixing ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes.
• Handle and store ingredients and food.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Rotating stock.
• Update temp logs for food, refrigeration and freezer.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers.
• Very organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of federal and state standards and requirements regarding food preparation and storage, sanitation, health, and record-keeping.
