Job summary

Mt Olive Pickle Company is seeking a sanitation associate to keep the main plant and/or DC plant clean and compliant with food safety standards. The role emphasizes preventing contamination and maintaining product quality in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning production areas, lines, and equipment, completing the MSS, proper waste disposal, safe chemical handling, pre-operational checks, and supporting audits and inspections to uphold USDA, FDA, and HACCP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; food safety or sanitation certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing sanitation role preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food production areas including floors, walls, equipment, and machinery in accordance with regulations.
• Perform thorough cleaning of production lines used in manufacturing.
• Perform line changeovers and other line cleaning.
• Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is completed timely.
• Report sanitation issues to supervisor and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Adhere to USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist in audits and inspections related to sanitation practices.
