Job summary

Mt. Olive Pickle Company Inc. is seeking a sanitation worker to follow established procedures for cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing equipment, containers and the facility, ensuring a clean, compliant production area.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean work area as assigned by sanitation crew chief or supervisor.
• Follow procedures for cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing equipment, containers and facility.
• Dispose of garbage with forklift, maintain drains and floorways.
• Operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
• Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment.
• Measure and mix chemicals per established procedures.
• Record sanitation activities on the Sanitation Schedule at end of each day.
• Maintain dumpster area in clean and orderly condition.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Participate in training, meetings, committees, project teams as appropriate.
• Receive instructions and perform other duties as directed by supervisor or crew chief.
