Job summary

PrepFort is hiring a detail-oriented Book Processor & Data Entry Specialist for a warehouse setting. The role involves scanning, labeling, cataloging, packing and processing large volumes of books with speed and accuracy.

This contract position lasts 4-5 months with potential for extension into full-time work. The candidate should have experience with barcode scanning, fast 10-key data entry, and be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience with barcode scanning or document scanning.
• Fast and accurate 10-key typing (60+ WPM).
• Comfortable working on a computer for long periods.
• Must be able to stand for the full 8-hour shift in a warehouse.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Scan books using barcode scanners and imaging equipment.
• Enter and verify book data quickly and accurately into our system.
• Label books without existing barcodes.
• Organize books by PO into boxes.
• Maintain a fast and consistent processing pace throughout the shift.
• Keep workstation organized and follow established workflows.
• Flag damaged items and escalate as needed.
• Meet daily processing quotas.
