The ideal candidate is a fast, precise typist with strong computer skills and attention to detail. The role involves collecting information from customers, entering data into the system, producing reports in Excel, and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior data entry experience preferred.
• Typing speed of 45 wpm with high accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of databases and data entry procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Use a keyboard, optical scanners, or other office equipment to transfer information into the database system.
• Collect information directly from customers and enter information into the database.
• Create accurate spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
• Confirm accuracy of data by comparing to original documents.
• Create reports or otherwise retrieve data from the database.
• Perform regular backups of data.
• Maintain an organized filing system of original documents.
