Job summary

Great Wolf Lodge in Mashantucket, CT is hiring a Fast Food Cook to join our fast-paced, guest-focused team. This entry-level role prepares food per recipes and supports the kitchen during busy periods, with opportunities to learn and grow through cross-training and Great Wolf University.

Base pay is $17 per hour, with tips varying by shift and location. We offer full-time, part-time and flexible schedules, plus benefits such as health coverage, 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience; may have current enrollment.
• Ability to learn correct and safe food preparation and sanitation.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with POS and Kitchen Display System.
• Must obtain local or state food handling permits and ServSafe certification as required.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily temperature logs, cleaning logs, line check sheets and food waste sheets.
• Ensure compliance with food-handling and sanitation regulations.
• Prepare all food items per recipe guidelines, tasting and adjusting for flavor with assistant chef.
• Execute food orders according to guest preference in a timely manner while handling multiple orders.
• Provide food preparation assistance by washing, peeling, cutting and preparing ingredients.
• Control recipes by weighing and measuring ingredients.
• Transport food and utensils to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Stock food and supplies; verify deliveries and quantities.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and sanitation standards.
• Maintain equipment cleaning schedules and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow Ecosure or similar sanitation program standards.
• Support operations at the request of Sous Chef or other leadership.
• Check out with outlet leader at end of shift.
