Job summary

Froedtert Sussex Fast Care is seeking an APRN-Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its fast-paced team in Sussex, Wisconsin. The position supports a high‑quality, collaborative care model within Froedtert & MCW Health Community Physicians Network.

Candidates must hold required licenses/certifications, have BLS, and be eligible for PECOS/DEA. The role supports 0.6–0.9 FTE with one weekend every four weeks and requires flexibility to work across Fast Care locations.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Master’s degree in nursing required; graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program.
• Wisconsin RN license or multi-state nursing license.
• APNP certification by ANCC or AANP is required.
• BLS certification by AHA or equivalent required upon hire.
• PECOS enrollment and DEA registration required or eligible to obtain.

We’re currently recruiting for a Fast Care APRN-Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Froedtert Sussex Fast Care (Primary location) located in Sussex, WI. Will need to work out of all Fast Care Locations.

Job Details:

• This position will be a minimum of 0.6 FTE up to 0.9 FTE
• 1 weekend every 4 weeks

The Froedtert Fast Care practice is very collegial, collaborative, and consultative with exceptional support staff. The Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Community Physician network is a partnership between Froedtert ThedaCare Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research, and education.

For APRN-Nurse Practitioners:

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred.
• A master’s degree in nursing is required. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program is required.
• Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing is required.
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required upon hire.
• Medicaid and Medicare (PECOS) enrollment and DEA registration are required or must be eligible to obtain.

For Physician Assistant:

• Bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies is required.
• Current State certification as a PA; current DEA.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required upon hire.
• Medicaid and Medicare (PECOS) enrollment and DEA registration are required or must be eligible to obtain.
