Embark in Austin, TX is seeking an Advisory Senior Consultant for our Financial Advisory practice. Reporting to leadership, you will support clients with financial reporting, technical accounting, M&A, and accounting transformation in a fast-paced environment.

You have 3+ years in Big 4/public accounting or corporate accounting, CPA or candidate, strong GAAP knowledge, solid Excel skills, and an ability to multi-task travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting/consulting and/or corporate accounting.
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• A high sense of urgency, strong initiative and the ability to multi-task
• Willingness to travel on-site to clients as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial reporting matters, technical accounting, analysis, M&A, or accounting function transformation in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
• Work closely with clients and have the opportunity to experience multiple aspects of financial advisory, transactions, and strategy.

Advisory Senior Consultants

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the leadership of our financial advisory division, you will join other Associates and Senior Associates in our Financial Advisory practice. You'll ensure all clients are taken care of - by assisting with financial reporting matters, technical accounting, analysis, M&A, or accounting function transformation, etc. in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients and have the opportunity to experience multiple aspects of financial advisory, transactions, and strategy.

To be a good fit for our Senior Associate - Financial Advisory role you will have:

• 3+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting/consulting and/or corporate accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• A high sense of urgency, strong initiative and the ability to multi-task
• Willingness to travel on-site to clients as needed

Added bonus if you have…

• Inter-company experience
• Energy (oil and gas and/or renewables) experience
• SaaS revenue recognition experience
• SEC filing exposure/experience
