Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to maintain grounds, plant and water trees and shrubs, prune plants, and clean fence lines. The role includes repairing livestock handling gear and farm buildings, maintaining equipment, and preparing operations for the next season.

You must be able to lift 75 lbs, have a valid driver’s license, and pass a drug test. English is required; experience is welcome but not required beyond 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds: remove trees, plant, water and prune plants, shrubs and trees.
• Clean fence lines and tree rows with hand tools; remove undergrowth and brush.
• Repair and maintain livestock handling gear such as chutes and pens.
• Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; service farm vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare equipment for the next season; keep work areas clean.

Job description

Maintain grounds such as removing trees, Plant, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools, Clean fence lines and tree rows using hand tools, removing undergrowth and brush while dormant. Repair and maintain livestock handling equipment such as chutes, alleys, sorting pens etc. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Clean work areas. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements and mechanical equipment in preparation for the next season. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
