H2ajobs in Illinois is seeking a farmworker to perform manual labor in crop and grain handling, including post-harvest treatment, loading, cleaning, and equipment maintenance. Must be able to work in dusty conditions and lift up to 50 lbs; compliance with safety rules and English language proficiency is required.

Housing and meals are employer-provided, with weekly transportation to grocery stores when cooking facilities are provided.

Formación

• Speak and understand English.

• Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required.
• Must be able to obtain CDL and have a clean driving record.
• Random drug test may be required after hire.

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Manual labor for participating in the inspection and post harvest treatment of crops including using hand tools for duties such as auguring grain, scooping grain with shovel, turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; repair and maintain equipment; clean areas; load without over or under filling; transporting grain to market; maintain inventory; must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; follow safety protocols; wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment; speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
