Job summary

H2ajobs seeks a dependable worker for hands-on agricultural duties including crop inspection, grading, sorting, and post-harvest processing. You will use shovels, scoops, and brooms to dry grain, sweep bins, and load products into trucks for shipment or storage.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, willingness to work in dusty grain bins, and adherence to safety protocols. One month of experience is required; a CDL may be needed for some positions.

Qualifications

• One month of recent verifiable experience required.
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license after hire and maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, grade, sort, and store crops and apply post-harvest treatments as needed.
• Use hand tools (shovels, scoops, brooms) for grain drying and bin sweeping.
• Load agricultural products into trucks without over- or under-filling and transport to market or storage.
• Work in dusty conditions and inside grain bins; follow safety protocols and use provided safety equipment.

Job description

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms for duties such as auguring grain, scooping grain, turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or under filling and drive to market or storage facilities; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment; Some workers may possess a CDL.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
