Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farm worker to care for dairy cattle and livestock on-site in Arkansas. Duties include milking, feeding, and maintaining milk equipment and facilities, as well as pasture upkeep and fencing. English is required; lifting up to 75 lbs is expected.

Housing and meals are provided by the employer. Experience required: three months of recent, verifiable work with livestock. A valid driver’s license may be needed for related transport or access.

Job description

Caring for pregnant & birthing dairy cows, milking cows, maintaining milk equipment and facilities. Feeding and caring for livestock including dairy cows and hair sheep. Maintaining livestock pasture and fencing. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: pickups, cars, skid steers, etc. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, sheep. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
