Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking laborers to prepare pasture land, receive and graze stocker cattle on wheat, rye and corn stalks. You will feed cattle, monitor health, and service livestock equipment. You must speak English and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Employment includes housing and meals provided by the employer. Experience required: three months recent and verifiable in related duties. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are needed after hire.

Job description

Prepare corn stalk and wheat/rye pasture with temporary wire, receive and place stocker cattle on wheat, rye and corn stalks for grazing, feed cattle to supplement diet, monitor animal health, service livestock equipment; break ice in watering facilities; pull cattle off stalks (prior to planting) and wheat/rye (at hollow stem); sell cattle; move cattle with stock trailer; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
