Job summary

Country View Family Farms is seeking a Farm Maintenance Technician to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems on a large swine operation. The role covers equipment such as feeders, ventilation, plumbing, and heating systems, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

This full-time position offers benefits and opportunities to work independently within a collaborative farm team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years maintenance experience preferred.
• Electrical and welding experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues across farm systems, including electronic sow feeders, ventilation, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain and repair farm equipment such as tractors, mowers, rear blades, and related tools.
• Adhere to safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and biosecurity protocols.
• Complete seasonal outdoor tasks including snow plowing, mowing, weed trimming, and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; assist with pressure washing and facility cleaning.
• Track, organize, and maintain parts, tools, and inventory; communicate needs with farm leadership.
