This position requires strong leadership and budgeting responsibilities within a retail ag-related environment. Responsibilities include staff recruitment and training, scheduling, cash handling, inventory control, security implementation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of management experience in fast-paced, ag-related retail setting.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with managers, staff, customers, vendors, and the public.
• Ability to make decisions and execute them according to policy.
• Maintain high levels of customer service throughout the store.
• Ability to determine task priority based on level of importance.
• Maintain a professional and positive image in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, orient, and train store staff.
• Schedule and assign employees; follow up on work results.
• Oversee all customer transactions and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Determine disciplinary actions and conduct investigations when needed.
• Prepare annual budget and schedule expenditures.
• Ensure all monies are accounted for and registers balanced.
• Monitor service and maintenance needs of the store.
• Maintain inventory availability and merchandise security.
• Secure merchandise by implementing security measures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and store policies.
• Review operating and financial statements to adjust marketing strategy.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
